The River Romance
By

The river dashes smoothly through the mountainous rocks. The sky makes the atmosphere deeply dark and mysterious. Clouds chirp in the sky. The light paints the water clear. The river is racing in the sink of a heartbeat. The water feels warm when my hands are cold.
I tiptoe beside the river, walking along the shaded rocks. I graze my fingers over their rough surface. Flow by flow, I take steps then my body tips over on the side and drops. I quickly grab onto a rock forcing myself not to let go.
In a blink of an eye, I see a silhouette of a man gazing at me from afar. I yell for help, calling for the man, hoping for him to revive me from this trap. My yells get more exhausting. I close my eyes lose my grip, by grip, by drip by drip, of the water.
I faint, but before I do the man catches me. He lifts me up in bridal style, laying my head on his shoulder.
My husband!
